Richard E. Cooper is the President and founder of Cooper Global Communications, LLC. With over 35 years of experience in International and corporate finance, Richard is in close contact with major industry analysts and decision makers. Being personally involved on a hands-on basis with the investor relations strategies for CGC clients, his extensive experience has been utilized in strategic planning, financing, repositioning, and crisis management.
Prior to his work at CGC, Richard served as Chairman of a boutique investor relations firm - Strategic Growth International, Inc. (“SGI”). During his 20 years at SGI, Richard directed the IR coverage of global clients such as AT&T Latin America, Linc Energy, and Boots & Coots. Richard also has 15 years of senior management experience at Salomon Brothers, Inc. As a Managing Director in corporate finance at Salomon Brothers, Richard held positions in both the firm’s fixed income and corporate finance departments and participated in global privatization work. He was responsible for the coverage of such major clients as the US Department of Agriculture, the State of New York and the governments of Pakistan, Israel, Thailand and Turkey. Richard holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management.
